The Problems
When someone is unsure of where to begin or doesn't recognize that they are struggling with their mental health, it can have long-term effects on their life. These individuals often need a gentle push to get started, as they can easily become stuck in a cycle of low motivation, having grown accustomed to a negative mindset.
IN NUMBERS
User journey exploration plan
I created a plan to explore more about what needs to be done as well as what a user would actually need for their journey
The solution
Helps users make positive changes in their life with features like habit tracking and task completion monitoring
Users can update their daily emotions to reflect their mental well-being
Allow users to express their feelings
RESEARCH
Affinity Mapping & Identifying who the users are
After analyzing the interview data, I identified five key traits and categorized the responses. This gave me a clearer understanding of the essential features needed for the app, ensuring a seamless user experience.

Challenges of potential users
Lack of mental support, putting their life on hold
Lack of motivation
Having self doubt, whether they can do it or not
Procrastination and developing bad habits
IDEATE
Site Map

Provided insights into how features should be structured
Revealed the necessary design adjustments
Blueprint for organizing app features effectively
DESIGN
Designing the App’s Structure
When designing, I wanted to turn my ideas into something real. creating wireframe helped me see my thoughts come to life and gave me inspiration for how the project should look. I put my ideas into Figma, making sure the design was simple, organized, and had all the features needed to look clean and work well.

For this part of the project I created a lot of user stories and ranked them from most important to least important. This process helps me throughout my designing process with where all features should go. Here is a list of a few of my highest priorities :
As a user, I want to create an account so that I can improve my mental health.
As a user, I want to be able to log-in so that I can start my journey in mental health improvement.
As a user, I want to have a to do checklist so that I can keep track of what I did and did not do
As a user, I want a sleep tracking system so that I can improve my sleep habit.
REDESIGN
Simplicity and user-friendly
I redesigned my app to make the features cleaner and easier to understand at first glance, as they were initially a bit confusing. I also removed social media-like features, as I realized that in my first design, I strayed from the app's purpose. My goal is for the app to feel more inclusive and intimate, focused solely on the users and not others outside the app. Overall, I updated the design to improve its appearance and functionality.
The redesign made features more intuitive and user-friendly, improving the first impression.
Removing social media-like features helped refocus the app on its core mission of supporting users.
The overall design update enhanced both aesthetics and usability, creating a more cohesive and engaging experience.
