PROJECT OVERVIEW
Redesigned the Poets.org website to improve readability, navigation, and overall user experience. The redesign focused on organizing the content more clearly, simplifying the layout, improving visual hierarchy, and creating a cleaner, more modern browsing experience for discovering poetry and related content.
User challenges
Users struggled to quickly navigate and discover content due to cluttered layouts, inconsistent organization, and weak visual hierarchy. Dense text sections and outdated UI patterns also reduced readability and overall browsing experience.
Evaluating current website
Cluttered layouts
Dense content and inconsistent spacing made pages difficult to scan and navigate.
Weak Visual Hierarchy
Important information competed for attention due to inconsistent typography and layout structure.
Inconsistent User Interface
Different visual styles and layouts created a disconnected browsing experience across the website.
