PROJECT OVERVIEW
A modern SaaS replacing both pen-and-paper workflows and outdated legacy software at auto body shops, giving every role a clear view of their day, cutting the time it takes to complete tasks, and helping shops take on more business without adding more chaos.
Key Challenges
Body shops either run on paper or use software so outdated they work around it. Either way, the result is the same: lost documents, invisible status, and no one knowing who's doing what. Disorganization slows every task down and slower tasks mean fewer completed jobs, fewer customers, and less revenue.
Competitor Research
Outdated by design
Most tools were built years ago and haven't meaningfully evolved. The UX reflects how shops were managed, not how they operate now.
Still too many manual steps
Even with software, users are still manually updating statuses, sorting documents, and chasing information across the team. One simple tasks like organizing or ordering parts still take 3-4 clicks
Not built for insurance workflows
The claim life cycle isn't reflected in how most tools are structured. These competitor target keeping track of customer while missing the most important workflow in a body shop which is working with insurance


How Might We
How might we build a system that takes the operational weight off a body shop entirely, automating status, calculations, and organization in the background, so the business runs faster, stays accurate, and grows without the manual work that's been slowing it down?
Design decisions
Automated case status
Status updates itself and can be view by the whole team as employee complete their normal steps, no one has to remember to change or update to anyone.
AI-assisted revenue and profit tracking
The owner dashboard automatically calculates revenue, profit, and shop performance, no spreadsheets, no manual math.
Smart scan-to-case
Scanned documents are read by the system and auto-filed to the right case. No folder selection, no misfiling.
Role-based dashboards
Owners see revenue. Managers see team workload and can assign tasks on the spot. Employees see only what's theirs. Everyone gets exactly what they need to act.
Organization through design
Filters, structured layouts, and color-coded statuses make information findable in seconds, organization is built into the product, not left to the user.
Automated inventory alerts
Parts levels update as cases progress. Low stock triggers an alert automatically, no one needs to manually monitor.
